AI Tax Research

About

Juno Tax is an AI research and advisory assistant that helps tax professionals quickly interpret complex IRS code, rulings, and notices. By combining generative AI with verified source linking, Juno explains technical tax questions in natural language while providing citations to official documents. Firms use it to speed up research, draft memos, and clarify gray areas without losing authoritative accuracy.

AI SummaryMixed

Tax professionals express a mixed sentiment towards Juno, noting its promising integration with tax software and useful features like document intake and review tools. However, concerns about its pricing at $30 per return and limited current software compatibility were raised. While some users appreciate its collaboration with Tax Dome, others are still evaluating whether to adopt it over established tools like Canopy or Gruntworx.

I was thinking of going for the tried and true Passion of the Christ, or maybe Juno if I'm feeling conservative.

Solo tax firm right now and using Canopy. In November I’ll have 6 full time and 5 part time employees and will be modernizing an old school firm. I’ve found Canopy easy to use and my clients have high praise as well. With that being said, I’ve been seeing that more small firms here are enjoying Tax Dome and also the collaboration with Juno looks interesting. I need to decide whether to jump over to Tax Dome or double down and stick with Canopy. Any recent success stories on modernizing a fi

Has anyone used Juno? I saw they are partners with taxdome now for auto filling tax forms and tax information into tax software. I see it's costs $30/return and wondering if it would be a better option verse gruntworx for drake (or other supported software).

Watching the golden globes tonight and just saw the brief clip thanking the KPMG auditors for tabulating the vote. Has anyone here ever worked on such an engagement for an award show? I assume most of them would be held out of the LA office of a Big Four but I assume that some smaller offices may do this type of thing for a regional award or maybe a non USA office for other shows like the Junos in Canada or BAFTA in the UK. Just wondering if the engagement entails anything other than counting

Hey, I’m actually the founder of Juno and a CPA and you are welcome to connect me directly if you would like to talk about this. And we raised a few million dollars, but did not announce that because that by itself is not a victory. Please don’t spread rumors about us online. It’s irresponsible. Maybe just get back to work and build a better product.

I second the Soraban comment - we used them last year - 2024 - they don't connect to the tax software we use, yet, but they are promissing for 2025. It was more about the tax document intake process, Q&A with clients, then sending out for esignatures. We have tried Juno - what I like it they have a research tool - like Blue J, but also, they can review a tax return and provide review comments.
